Best from Busy Week+: Pumpkin picking with my fav girl scouts, then doing science with them; hair conditioning treatment from a Savannah cat; seeing a snake on the class field trip; not crumbling during the meeting with WASC; successfully guest lecturing as my 19th century self, twice; movie night with discussion afterwards; meals with folks I haven't seen for a while

The Week's Gems- eating lunch in an oak tree, finding monkeys and lions on my walks in the woods, chatting/dinner with old/dear friends I'm so happy to reconnect with, fun conversations on BART and with random motocyclists, dirigible clouds, familiar faces in unexpected spaces & time with my nephew: discoveries, museums, inside jokes, farmers market, kitchen time and the unbearable cuteness of it all.

Highlights from the week gone by: Getting out of town even if for work, amazing training opportunity, supporting friends on their personal journeys, getting more stuff situated in my new home, eating cereal while watching hummingbirds slurp from their feeder.

Highlights this past week: meeting my niece and watching her puzzle out the problems of the world (sadly, she'll forget the solutions before she can communicate them), trampoline time with my nephew (a workout!), FB chat with a former student, a very smooth moving day, a more amazing view than I first realized, help from favorite people, sushi/baking cookies with my bff of 20+ years and making my new place home :)
