TD Week Gems: kayaking, two abundant Thanksgiving spreads (one friends, one family), silly time with my nephew, time with two different girlfriends, stargazing, spending time with beloved extended family, cooking up a storm of well received contributions, and feeling very very blessed.

Gem's from the week past: lots of little get-togethers with lovely old friends, many of whom I haven't seen in too long, with anticipation of more of the same; folk music 2x!; finishing a big project I've been working on. Not a light week, I'm just making it sound that way :)

I had a Very Happy, Hygge Birthday!!! Thanks to all of you friends, from so many parts and times of my life, for your warm birthday wishes! I had a happy grin on my face reading and enjoying them all! Want to hear more about my week? Gems below!

Recognition in a blog I read and follow; teaching students pollinatio nbiology tricks for the week's lab; Cameron acting like a serious and independent kid during our Dane meeting; Alexis smiling when I said hello; duck dinner for Mortensaf...ten, along with some early Fastelavn singing and stories; two ferry rides around the Delta with my dad and stepmom; aebleskiver breakfast; first large dinner party in my new home with some of my longest and closest friends, where we dined on Morrocan-spiced chicken and quinoa tabboleh; friends to share in, and contribute to, the feast...See More

Anne Gearhart ‎...Rice Pudding! with candle for 3: Ann and Cathy, I love sharing my birthday with such great friends!; Apple to Apples, with my godson and I choosing the same noun as a fill-in answer; being able to now juice citrus and open wine and sip tea and stay warm; work productivity in a warm sunbeam; Festival of Pies!; giing my motherhens something to cluck about and myself something to grin about; having rice pudding to offer to a gluten-free Pie Celebrant; feeling acceptance for my geeky side (pi!)...
Anne Gearhart ‎... seeing my aunt (from NC!) fro my birthday and getting her loving assurance that I've done good; cooking my family an amazing lunch of halibut that was a delight to all; my favorite Scharfenberger double chocolate cake (Thanks T&J! YumYum!); new baubles to wear; my nephew insisting that I can't wear two necklaces, then convincing him that jewelry *doesn't* follow the one-in,one-out rule (and, therefore, please give me back that other necklace); planning out what I really want...

Week's Gems: toasting (and roasting) my dad at his Big Birthday!, watching my nephew completely content to move balloons around while we adults visited, carrying around my niece, tea with a dear friend, rolling 4 buncos (yet not enough for a prize, how's that?), class flirting project, getting a great compliment about SCHS to pass along to my old principal, making room for something shiny and new :)

Week's Gems: Giants, Giants, Giants-so fun to listen to the wins!; girls' night at my place with tasty, healthy food, crafty inspirational collage making; pumpkin carving tradition with friends (post pics if you snapped some, please!); setting up my Day-of-The-Dead box for Hallow's Eve callers to admire, trick-or-treating with my nephew and his little buddy.
