I have learned fantastic things about 1) cooking for the sick, 2) maintaining my daintiness (& importance of doing so) and 3) preparing bearmeat for stew this week. Also, watched a lunar eclipse from the clubhouse deck near my home (since I don't have a fire escape) and gazed at Christmas lights from the comfort of a friend's dry car. I love my friends and the things they bring to my life!

The Season brings with it our expectations of warmth and family, of treasures and treats and great gifts, of joy and of good things to come. You probably know someone for whom this year, or any year, this is not the case, whether from financial circumstances, or personal pain, or frustrating families. Friend, if you are one, I love you, and will be lighting a candle for you tonight. Please know you are loved.
