Why I started this blog

In Fall 2010 I began posting weekly summaries of my positive memorable moments of the past week to Facebook (FB), as a way to refocus myself on the Abundance that existed in my life.  These moments are precious, and thus I called them "Gems".  In January 2011 I began adding images.  However, the Facebook format quickly makes these posts inaccessible to me.  I decided in March, 2011, to take a hiatus from FB during Lent to reflect on its purpose within my daily life, and direct my energy towards art.  I want to maintain a way to post and share my Gems, as well as a way to share them with people I care about who are not on FB.  Hence, my Gems of an Abundant Life blog.  Posts will remain short: about 420 words, and photos will be added as appropriate.  I encourage you to share your Abundance with me!
